Hiking is one of my favorite things to do and I always have places I want to check out.

Please check out my list of Hiking trails and feel free to add some of your favorites in the comments section.

The Centennial Trail is always an easy favorite.  Runs from Spokane to Coeur d Alene.  You can walk, jog, or bike ride it.  Have seen some horses on it in the Liberty lake to Spokane Valley area also.

Lake Pend Oreille has a good handful of options.  From lots of trails on the Bayview side (Farragut National Park) to all the way up and around the lake.

Hayden Idaho has English Point.  I enjoy this one a lot.  Convenient to get to and an easy trail if you only have a little time but want to be out in the woods.   The dogs are welcome and there is a longer side also for the horses if you want to ride it.  Usually one of the first ones opens in the spring.

Round Lake is another one that is just a great little hike.  Not too long can get around it in about an hour or so.  Also, another one that is one of my favorites.

Higgins Point is another favorite.  Also an easy trail but lots of fun for the family.  Also, a great spot to view the Eagles in the winter.  There are some picnic tables set up around the point.

Canfield Mountain in Coeur d Alene has a short trail that is about a mile and a half long.  Great for an evening or take the kids.  Also some long hard trails here as well so lots to choose from.

Tubbs Hill is always a favorite in downtown Coeur d Alene.   Watch fireworks from here on the 4th of July if you don’t mind hiking out in the dark.

Fernan Lake Natural Area is a new one that is just getting put together.  They say the parking lot is now open and still working on the trails.  I will have to check it out this spring.  Should be just a few minutes from Coeur d Alene.

East of Coeur d Alene is Mineral Ridge Trail.  Great views of the lake from this one.   Another great spot to see the Eagles from as they are feeding on the spawning salmon.

Tons of other spots that some I have explored others are on the list.  Here is a link to the Idaho Panhandle Nationals Forests Hiking list.  Tons to choose from of this list also.   Please feel free to leave some comments on some of these if you get to them first.

Be sure to check back regularly as I will try to keep updating this with more as I have time.

The new one in Spirit Lake Empire Trail  haven’t gone on it yet.  Need to get my Inland Paper Permit first.  But will shoot some pictures of it soon.

Rathdrum Mountain has lots of new trails as well.

Scotchman Peak Trails:  View the Mountain goats.  It’s a steep one.

Some of your favorites please share.
