Bonner County is located in beautiful North Idaho. With a population of approx 57,000. Bonner County was partitioned from Kootenai County in 1907 and named after Edwin L. Bonner who was a ferry operator. The largest city in Bonner County is Sandpoint, Idaho which is near the ski slopes of Schweitzer Mountain and has lots of footpaths and bike trails as well as swimming and major boating areas on Lake Pend Oreille.
