We don’t have very many 2 acre lots in Athol so you could expect these to predominantly reflect 5 acre lots. With an occasional 10 acre lot mixed in. If we run you personal numbers on any lot we can certainly break the numbers down a lot tighter for you. Very few properties in Athol Idaho that are on less than 2 acres. We do have the older section of town and a few pocket communities of some new construction that are just getting built out. This segment will probably grow over time but right now there are many months that only 1 home sold in this category.
The Crossings Concept Site Plan from the November Shore Lines’ Newsletter. This is a map of what’s happening commercially in Athol, Idaho.
Athol has a good sense of community. It’s not uncommon for there to be the annual Christmas party where the whole neighborhood gets together for a gift exchange and food. There are some good spots to dine in Athol also.
Athol is minutes away from Lake Pend O’reille, Granite, and Kelso Lake so you are certainly in everything water sports. And to the West, you are only about 10 minutes away from Spirit Lake. If you head South, you’re about 15 minutes to Lake Coeur d’Alene. There are also lots of hiking and horse back riding at Farragut State Park, or you can check out Round Lake State Park for hiking and fishing. If you love to ski, Athol is 30 minutes to Schweitzer, about an hour to Look Out Pass, or the 4th of July Pass. Like to snowshoe or cross-country ski? Check out the Panhandle Nordic Club for some new friends.
And of course for more entertainment, check out Silverwood Theme Park.
For Hotels, you’re going to want to look at probably staying in Hayden Idaho. There is a very nice Holiday Inn Express on the North Side of Hayden right off Hwy 95. There is not much that I want to recommend to you for a Hotel in Athol. That will leave you about 10 minutes away from Silverwood if that is the reason for your visit. For Camping and RV Camping we have a good selection. The fairly new Ravenwood RV Resort, Silverwood RV Park, and Farragut State Park all keep you close.
Athol is part of the Lakeland School District which according to NICHE has been named the #1 school district in the State of Idaho.
Depending on where you live these are the potential schools available.
