Kootenai County has had some tremendous growth in its medical capabilities over the last 10+ years. Right in the immediate area, we have Kootenai Hospital, the Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls, and a multitude of specialty services. Many urgent cares, and Immediate Care. Lots of outpatient services, Doctors’ offices and more.
Our Main medical hotbed in Coeur d Alene is between Hwy 95 and Northwest Blvd off of Ironwood Drive. You will find the hospital, the Veterans Healthcare administration in that area, and much more.
If you head the short drive into Spokane ( less than 30 minutes for most) you will find the Valley Hospital, Deaconess Hospital, Sacred Heart, and the VA Hospital.
Sacred Heart offers a regional Cancer Center, a Transplant Center a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center, and a Level IV NICU. Specialty care, support groups, and more.
